Your search for biological family

Performing a search to find a birth family is challenging. It requires patience, zeal, and a willingness to learn about new technology and search techniques that can widen the possibility of substantiating the most likely identity of biological family roots. Understand that our volunteers are skilled at finding the adoptee's birth family through traditional search and genetic genealogy. We do not have the tools nor access to legally unsealed birth records to see the children relinquished to adoption by birth parents or their siblings. If you happen to be a birth parent or sibling of an adoptee, please check their State of birth for what legal rights you might have or may currently be in legislation for change here or fill out a form on our reunion registry form here.

Regarding adoptees, we certainly bring an understanding of genetic genealogy and thorough first-hand experience regarding DNA testing with third-party companies, enlightening us about adoptees' biological cousins and the very breadcrumbs leading to birth parents. In one way or another, all of our volunteers are touched by adoption, which deepens our dedication and sensitivity regarding putting so much effort into the genealogy of our clients.

This website mirrors the tenacity required by all the search angels, who have spent countless hours helping adoptees with their searches for their biological families. Moving forward is never easy, but anything becomes possible with much encouragement, shared sentiment from fellow adoptees, and your commitment to stay the course.

While it can become unnecessary for an adoptee to become too deeply involved in a search, some decide to become more actively involved. In those cases, we encourage folks to consider getting a month-to-month subscription to Ancestry. If you prefer to evaluate the documentation our researchers accumulate, you are encouraged to take advantage of an Ancestry 14-day trial to be more involved with your search firsthand. It is also a good idea to plan to take an AncestryDNA test, as working on your case will only make it much faster to identify actual biological relatives. That is especially true if your search starts with next to no knowledge of your birth family.

Who we are and what we do

Whether this search involves you, an adopted family member, or someone you think might benefit from our services, passing this information to others is the only way to know more. Everyone touched by some family separation may decide later in life to try and pick up the pieces or find closure in one way or another.

Our mission

We believe believe everyone deserves to know where they came from and who their ancestors were. To further this cause, we have gathered together a dedicated and skilled group of genetic genealogists to assist in this task and help resolve mysteries that have lasted a lifetime. Rekindling hope and bringing clarity to a search for the biological family is not a skill most adoptees ever imagined performing. Yet, after years of wondering where they started and what nature has contributed to them biologically, we can finally conclude.
