We are here to assist adoptees or others separated from unknown biological family members in finding their birth family roots. As stated throughout our website, we are not equipped to help birth parents or siblings of adoptees find one another. We encourage you to complete a submission form for our reunion registry if you are in this group.
For adoptees, we can undoubtedly assist with interpreting your DNA results from AncestryDNA, Family Tree DNA (FTDNA), or Gedmatch, as well as many other autosomal DNA testing companies. We are also well versed in using Ancestry.com to build family trees based on the biological cousins we may find in your traditional search validated through DNA test results.
Our purpose can be in one of two ways. The first is to draw you into your search through suggestions and assistance, act as a guide to help you hit the ground running, and help you when you feel like you have hit a roadblock. Sometimes, our recommendations are for books that might enlighten your understanding of this experience, while other times, we may recommend an online genealogy or DNA test results interpretation class.
Our other purpose is to be more deeply involved in the search process, where we build out your genealogical family tree based on your DNA-related cousins, help you search for individuals, or do complex tasks like triangulation of your genetic results. At that level, we encourage you to use Our Search Form, especially if you want to provide detailed background information on your search thus far, obstructions you have encountered, or attempts to move forward with a renewed journey.
